Each year the editors of Farm Chemicals International pick a theme to emphasize for our annual State of the Industry Survey and Special Report. We’ve examined how the industry was affected during the most severe global recession since the 1930s, tracked the glyphosate price bubble in 2009 and continued to gauge the health and growth of crop protection companies and the industry.
This year’s Survey focuses on consolidation, the supply chain and sourcing issues. A new purchasing paradigm has unfolded as consolidation in China has narrowed supply lines to fewer companies, and big contracts are winning out in the short term.
