Kleffmann Group Launches AgriGlobe Database

Global research firm Kleffmann Group has launched a new consulting division and a subscription data product to go with it. Kleffmann’s newly formed AgMarket Insights Agricultural Market Trend and Information Consulting Division launched amis AgriGlobe, an agrochemical and seed database that combines global market consulting services across multiple agricultural sectors. The first global market data set will be available in April.

The new product will provide comprehensive global market data along with a new intuitive online software tool delivering multi-country statistically robust farmer based data from over 50 countries; many of them emerging markets.

About half of the amis AgriGlobe data is generated by the amis panel surveys, worldwide farmer-based information for all major crops – covering seeds and crop protection inputs. The amis system is supported by both quantitative and qualitative data and enables to understand better farmers’ purchase behavior.

“The availability of that research and historical reference data from previous years allow direct comparisons of different markets over a specific period of time and help to understand the full picture as well as the detail,” Kleffmann Group CEO Burkhard Kleffmann said in a press release.

A new team comprising agricultural experts and marketing research professionals has been established to further develop this new division. The introduction of amis AgriGlobe will initially be supported by Dr. Mirza Nomman Ahmed and Dr. Christina Handschuch. In addition to providing clients with consulting services, business intelligence and market information, the team will develop new software modules to facilitate intuitive and sophisticated analysis that integrate the team’s wide agricultural insights.

Kleffmann has scheduled additional personnel and financial investments into the group for the rest of the year as well.

“In the first half of the year, we will continue strengthening the team and expand our portfolio; amis AgriGlobe will be step-by-step extended by further innovative modules that enable clients to explore market trends and gain industry-wide insights,” Burkhard Kleffmann said. “By using the new software module, data can be analyzed and visualized according to the individual needs of decision makers from different management levels. The new product not only provides objective market overviews at a global, regional and local level; it can also be considered as a Business Intelligence tool to create individual complex data analysis for strategic planning processes.”

The first Global Market dataset will be available in April 2014. This review will include seed and crop protection inputs for the year 2013 as well as historical reference data from previous years. The completed amis AgriGlobe database will be made accessible via Kleffmann Group’s new software platform “Kleffmann4you” early in the summer.
