29 October 2007 The decision means grain with the traits is approved for import as grain and processed products into the EU-27.
Herculex Insect Protection was developed through a research collaboration between Dow and Pioneer Hi-Bred. Pioneer President Dean Oestreich said that the acceptance should bolster confidence in growers, since “This EU approval also clears the way for corn growers to purchase seed protected by Herculex I and HEerculex RW, knowing they can plant it in 2008 without any grain channeling restrictions.”
