Software Launched To Monitor Foreign Chemical Quality Online

US-based TrueLogic Co. has launched a software package designed to help companies track, monitor, and improve quality in the chemical manufacturing processes, allowing remote monitoring of these production processes by customers, importers, and quality auditors via the internet. Called TrueChem, the software "is particularly promising for Chinese manufacturers and the US companies that import their products," according to a TrueLogic release.

Dow AgroSciences' affiliate Agrigenetics, Inc. has acquired Duo Maize, a corn germplasm company focused primarily on early maturing germplasm silage applications for northern climates based in Rossum, Netherlands.
Bayer, MANA Settle Patent Disputes

Bayer CropScience and Makhteshim Agan of North America (MANA) have settled patent lawsuits around the cotton defoliant Ginstar, according to a MANA release. Under the settlement, MANA will pay Bayer an undisclosed amount for a non-exclusive sublicense under the patents-in-suit.
Origin Acquires Guang Xi Fortuneland

Beijing, China-based biotech and seed company Origin Agritech has agreed to take over majority interest in Guang Xi Fortuneland Agricultural Corp. of Nanjing. Fortuneland is a pesticide and fertilizer company with a focus on the manufacture, sale, and distribution of pesticides and fertilizers in southern China. Origin is a supplier of corn, rice, cotton and canola seed.
Arysta To Acquire Grupo Bioquimico Mexicano

Arysta LifeScience Corp. signed a definitive agreement to acquire Grupo Bioquimico Mexicano, S.A. de C.V. (GBM), a leading Mexican manufacturer and marketer of inputs for the fruit and vegetable market. The acquisition of GBM increases Arysta's footprint in the fruit and vegetable crop markets of Mexico, Central and South America.
