Syngenta Announces New Corn Herbicide
28 July 2015 Syngenta announced its new corn herbicide under development, Acuron Flexi, for growers who need to control difficult weeds with added flexibility.
Using the latest formulation technology, Acuron Flexi will combine three active ingredients, including bicyclopyrone, and two complementary modes of action to deliver a multi-targeted approach to weed control, Syngenta said, noting, “This is especially important as herbicide resistance is expanding and weeds such as giant ragweed, waterhemp and Palmer amaranth are becoming more difficult to manage.”
The product is expected to be registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the 2016 season.
