Bayer CropScience Streamlines Executive Responsibilities

Bayer CropScience said it is optimizing its organizational setup to facilitate enhanced dialog between the company and its community of stakeholders and to better align the company’s strategic vision with portfolio decisions. In this context the following organizational and personnel changes became effective June 1, 2015:

A new function ‘Business Affairs & Communications’ has been established within the Bayer CropScience Executive Committee, comprising the functions Communications, Public & Governmental Affairs, Market & Stakeholder Intelligence, Sustainability & Business Stewardship as well as additional stakeholder outreach activities.

Bernd Naaf, so far head of ‘Business Management’ has become head of ‘Business Affairs & Communications’. The ‘Business Management’ function has been dissolved.

Beth Roden, until recently heading Bayer CropScience Communications in the United States, assumes now global responsibility and took over the position as Head of Communications. She succeeds Steffen Kurzawa, who decided to leave the company after many years of valuable service to pursue other career opportunities.
