Bayer CropScience Closes Acquisition of DuPont Crop Protection Land Management Assets

BCS_VerticalLogoBayer CropScience completed the acquisition of certain DuPont Crop Protection Land Management assets in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand, according to a release from the company.

The transaction. which closed on December 1, 2014, following receipt of required antitrust approvals, boosts Bayer CropScience’s non-agricultural pest and weed control business. The acquisition strategically complements Bayer CropScience’s current product portfolio and allows the company to gain access to the growing Forestry and Range & Pasture business segments in North America. Land managers and utility foresters will now profit from a comprehensive weed control portfolio, comprising established herbicides marketed under brand names such as Esplanade, Perspective, Streamline, Escort and Cimarron.
